Process

From first hello to full report.

No GP referral. No opaque processes. Here's exactly what your journey with us will look like, end to end.

Before you begin

A short checklist to get started.

Most people come to us already carrying a long story. Our intake gives that story room to be heard - without lengthy paperwork upfront. You only need three things to begin: a moment of clarity about why now, a phone number, and a quiet 20 minutes for the first call.

  • 1What you're hoping the assessment will help with
  • 2A phone number we can call within 48 hours
  • 320 quiet minutes for the first conversation
Initial assessment checklist
Step one
Initial assessment

An initial assessment is recommended before booking any diagnostic assessment. It includes screening tools that help establish your treatment plan and tell us whether further specialist input is needed.

  • · Booking call and intake
  • · Screening questionnaires
  • · Brief clinical consultation
Step two
Specialist assessment

Book your specialist assessment. This can be Autism (ADOS‑2), ADHD, Child Psychiatry, Adult Psychiatry, Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and more.

  • · ADOS‑2 for autism
  • · QbCheck or DIVA‑5 for ADHD
  • · Multi‑informant reports
Step three
Follow‑up support

A diagnosis can mean different things for different people. With our recommendations and signposting we continue alongside you. Some choose follow‑up sessions with a Psychiatrist or Practitioner Psychologist to make sense of what the diagnosis means for them.

  • · Comprehensive written report
  • · Personalised recommendations
  • · Optional follow‑up sessions
? Frequently asked

Common questions.

Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can self‑refer at any time - get in touch and we'll guide you through the next steps.
Can the assessment be done online?
Most assessments can be conducted online via secure video. Where in‑person observation is clinically preferable (such as ADOS‑2 for autism), we'll explain that upfront and arrange a clinic visit in London or Ware.
How long does the full process take?
Typically four to eight weeks from initial enquiry to written report. We aim to offer your first appointment within two to four weeks of contact.
Will I receive a written report?
Yes. A comprehensive, NICE‑aligned report with recommendations and signposting is included with every full assessment.
Are concessions available?
We offer some concessionary clinics at a reduced rate. Please call us for more information - we'll do our best to help.
What if I need urgent mental health support?
We don't offer a crisis service. In an emergency please call 999, NHS 111 (option 2 for mental health), the Samaritans on 116 123, or contact your GP for an urgent appointment.
